How did you get the logs? The %22 and "mailto:…" may be the cause of your problems, or they're added by the software you used to copy/paste the logs. If(!) the logs are as they are, the problem is the Sender address, used as "mailto:…" > === > 2015-07-08 14:57:09 1ZCouT-0000CM-A9 <= > "mailto:[email protected]%[email protected] H=([127.0.0.1]) > [555.555.555.555] P=esmtpsa X=TLSv1:AES256-SHA:256 … > A=plain_login:[email protected] S=1777 > id=em76ffc817-ad6b-4c73-8c0a-1b292e64d689@jagged T="SSL test" > 2015-07-08 14:57:10 1ZCouT-0000CM-A9 ** [email protected] R=send_to_gateway > T=remote_smtp H=smtp2.mydomain.com [666.666.666.666]: SMTP error from remote > mail server after RCPT TO:<[email protected]>: 550-Verification failed for > <"mailto:[email protected]%[email protected]%3E\n550-Unrouteable > address\n550 Sender verify failed Talking about Sender verification, that is, verifcation of "mailto:[email protected]%[email protected]". Exim is responsible for the sender domain, thus it tells you more about the cause (the unwanted characters).
