Thank to the advice from this mailing list I was able to complete the build of
exim but I have it a problem in using it. I am trespassing on your time
again I am afraid.
I can tun exim bt and that does what I expect. But when I try to run the
daemon (/usr/sbin/exim -bd -q30m) it does not start and the logs say

I have looked a the permissions on the files and the are he same as on my
old system

I have no idea where the euid=102 egid=104 comes from as I would have
expected euid to be 120 (\debian-exim). 102 is systemd-resolve whatever
that is.
Never had so much trouble building and running exim -- I must be getting too
old, but please help.
