This is only tangentially related, but: When a friend mentioned GMX and their free accounts at some point last year, I tried to get a disposable address with them. It went swimmingly during the first test when I used it as one would use gmail. Then I downloaded the test messages in my mailbox with POP (or IMAP, don't remember exactly now) which was supported according to their meager docs. My account was blocked immediately after that, and when I complained to support I got a curt one sentence reply like "sorry, we won't change this decision". It seems to me that GMX is Germany's gmail, only worse.
