I have a machine with 4.96 that is used, for email, only to send
cron messages to a local mailbox or possibly to a remote one.
Since a few weeks i often instead of receiveng the message i get in the
mailbox:

what could be the problem ?
the only known anomaly is that sometime the connection to DNS fail, but
that looks as a router or network problem [i notice it also from opther
machines connected to the same router], but in etc/hosts myhost and
myhost.***.** point to 127.0.0.1 so should work .
