Hello Dave,

After a certain firefox version, it was mandatory for me to change
'Preferences -> WWW' settings to be like this :

*uriScanForXURIs: 1
*uriScanForURIs: 1
*uriScanLimit: 1000
*uriScanSoftLimit: 1000
*uriViewer: netscape
*mimeShowHtml: defer
*deferDisplaysInline: 0
*uriMosaicApp: Mosaic
*uriNetscapeCmd: /opt/bin/netscape --new-tab $xuri
*uriTclCmd: NetRemote $xuri

Considering that /opt/bin/netscape is a symb. link to /usr/bin/firefox.

Since I always have a Firefox opened in a separate Cinnamon Work Space,
it brings up a new tab in that one displaying HTML contents.

I also noticed your behaviour when my FF browser is not launched before-
hand, blocking any exmh action. I'll forward you the response I got from
someone in the list about "new-tab" explanation. Best regards, Émile
