On November 13 there was an article in the Moscow Times called "Officials
Explain Visa Changes", wherein Alexander Aksyonov, head of the Federal
Migration Service's visa and registration department made several comments
about the new visa law. He was quoted as saying that, "Multiple-entry business
visas received before Oct. 17, the day the decree was adopted, will not be
affected by the new legislation".
Does anyone know where I can find something confirming this in Russian in
writing? I received my multiple-entry business visa in August, but I am afraid
that when I return from the states in January after Christmas I may get stopped
at Sheremetevo, turned around and sent back to New York for 5-6 weeks in order
to obtain a work visa.
Does anybody have any information on this?
