Dear Martine, Airlines generally won't allow dogs to be flown in this kind of weather. We checked last year about a staff member flying his dog here in the winter and they won't fly dogs if it likely to go below -4. Plus many airlines won't take dogs in holiday or summer seasons. Marian
_____ From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of M.A.Self Sent: Thursday, December 13, 2007 4:02 PM To: The Moscow Expat List Subject: Expat List Fw: Anyone travelling to Sweden in the next month? Please let me know if anyone knows of someone travelling to Sweden who would agree to have a dog as excess baggage. A vet will accompany the dog to the correct offices and smooth the bureaucratic way, all that is needed is a passenger name and ticket so the dog can fly as excess baggage. No cost to the traveller and we would be willing to pay part of his/her ticket. This is on behalf of my dog who has been offered a new home in Sweden. Unfortunately I'm living in the UK already and can't be on hand to take the dog to Sweden. thanks Martine
