As far as I know, the only football (soccer) league here in Moscow for expats
is the Over 30's league (which is actually Over 27's).
I don't know of any leagues for younger people. There are hundreds of leagues
with Russians in - I just have no way of finding out how to find them.. Maybe a
Google search would work or possibly contacting the Russian Football
Federation!?!?
If you're 28 or older, why don't you come and watch a game in our league and
see the standard - it's quite high. There are many ex-professionals, semi-pro's
and very good players but mixed in with the more average players (like me!).
We have 8 teams in the league now (hopefully soon to be 10), professional
referees provided by the Russian Association of Referees, full sponsorship for
all teams and soft drinks provided by Powerade.
