Hi Donagh,

Have you tried installing this yourself? It's pretty easy. Since arriving in
Russia I've done a washing machine and a dishwasher. Takes minutes. You
literally just connect the cables and stick a bit of horse-hair in there.
The modern plastic connections don't even need that.

Worth picking up two large adjustable spanners (or crescent wrenches) for
50r each.

I just started doing stuff myself after realising that Russian handymen
often had less of a clue than me. Basically they will just have a go at
something if there's money in it - doesn't mean they know what they are
doing (which may go some way to explaining Nick's flooding and the poor
state of many remonts I've seen).
