I just bought Stream and they insisted to my translator that as i was a
foreigner i had to 'buy' my router rather than hire it.

It may be of help....but i doubt it. They are a law unto themselves.

Your best bet is to find someone who knows someone within Corbina or get
your company's IT 'expert'.

In my previous flat i got my IT guy to come and set up my internet. paid
him a grand. well worth it.

Subject
Expat List Internet provider and Router props

hi all,

can anyone recommend an internet provider which accepts a netgear w-lan
router
that I alreday own?? the Corbina net refused to install this router
because I
didn't want to buy any of their routers. They just installed a vnp-local
network
on my PC, plugged an isdn-cable in and now its not possible to install
the
w-lan router afterwards. because they use strange configurations which to
router
doesn't accept.

I'd like to change to provider, but need some informations first.

I'm thankful for any advice.

 simone
