Hi Bernard, Can't help you on the ATMs but just thougth you ought to know that HSBC offer "Account Plus" plan at 12.50 GBP/month which lets us withdraw money without charges overseas. Very useful as an ex-pat living here.
You might be able to find a similar account or way of upgrading your existing one?
