This problem was faced up with in mac, the real problem is when you open a word document, done with microsoft windows, in word for MAC... if you try to open it you can see just symbols... and thats all. Anyway I enjoy so much the work I do with the MAC, at home with windows i HAD JUST PROBLEMS and I faced up with installing linux on the PC, so at home I have both PC and MAC, but on the PC I have linux.

Well, that's exactly the problem.
Keyboard of course is ok, shifting is very quick and good, but practically ALL (russian)
websites I check are encoded in a "wrong" way and furthermore different one
from another, the same for e-mail I receive on my lovely MacBook, so I have to select
everytime the right encoding from the menu - and to the same as I got back to english
websites - it's a bit ennoying you see... anyway my russian friends are the ones saying
Mac is the worst for such use, that's to say for russian-speakers (problems of licences
as well as you maybe know, it's a Mac-policy they don't like so much here, that's why Mac
is still not so popular in Russia despite the fact that President Medvedev has just
changed his Sony Vaio with a brand new Apple)

I completely disagree - the Mac is far better for Cyrillic
or with
practically any foreign language including languages like
Cherokee,
Inuktitut, Maori, Tibetan.

Keyboard setup for all languages are included with Mac OSX;
you don't have
to download or purchase a separate setup like you must with
Windows. Mac OSX
includes a standard Russian keyboard as well as phonetic
keyboard for
English speaking users (i.e. The Cyrillic letters appear in
the same
locations as similar QWERTY keys).

With Mac OSX you can have as many keyboards as you want
available with one
click.
The only occasional problem that appears is when websites
are encoded in the
antique KOI-8 system, in which case you have to select the
encoding from the
menu (again one-click).

Ricky,

Good choice on the computer and phone. I
wouldn't
recommend anything else.

iPhone - not sure any more. The new iPhone 3G
can't be
purchased without a contract and the old iPhones
are
probably not changing hands anymore. Everyone who
has one is
probably going to hang onto theirs.

MacBook Pro - is that the new one you are talking
about?
You should be able to get it in any of the
re:Store
resellers, for instance in European Plaza or
Atrium or ....
Lotte Plaza (off Arbat). Go to apple.ru and select
"Kupit" and you can find all the
resellers in
Moscow. There are tons of them.
