Luca,

It disappoints me to see you declare another member of this community as
morally bankrupt with such relative ease from almost no information. I have
been watching this topic unfold over the past couple of days thinking that
reasonable people will either take the offer or not depending on their
particular situations. To label a person as dishonest without knowing
anything more than what he or she is selling is an obtuse and highly
spurious form of thinking.

The fact of the matter remains simple: if the products are unwanted or
deemed too expensive then simply no one will buy them. That is the beauty of
a free market!

Perhaps, Ms. Micah Risk has posted wares for sale for the first time, so to
answer with such a disproportionately negative response from various
contributors of this mailing list is both largely frustrating and highly
cynical. Mr. Rees commands the English language well; I believe that he must
understand the weight and consequence of the words he chooses when informing
those of us who have less experience than he on a topic he feels on which he
feels strongly. As other subscribers have noted, this mailing list is made
to help people, not to berate or criticize them.

We posses the great fortune of having prerogative when approaching a
prospective purchase, so let our actions persuade the sellers to amend their
offers into more attractive ones if need be. Resorting to unfounded personal
attacks will always result in a negative outcome. For a niche community like
ours, we should embrace our members and trust that what we say or offer is
without malice or duplicity.

Regards,

Vasili Uspensky
