Position : Logistics Director
Department : Administrative and logistics operations
Direct reportings to the given position : 4-6 pers.
Department’s staff : 51 people
Reporting to : General Director
Reasons for vacancy opening : replacement of the Director of Logistics
Salary : depending on the candidate
Company’s sector : Specialised products for DIY
Experience : similar previous experience required. Work with planning
department required. Experience with ERPs welcome.
Position’s duties :
1. Managing the Logistics Department, the Transport Department, the warehouse
network. and the planning processes of the company
2. Organizing and managing warehouse operations :
· Planning and managing the goods flows and production plans on the
basis of sales forecasts. Knowledge of the concepts of Demand Planning,
Distribution Requirements Planning, Material Requirement Planning required.
· Creating and monitoring standards for the organization of the main
warehouse processes
3. Setting up and optimizing transport processes(carriers management , control
of deliveries to the consignee, loading and unloading coordination)
4. Management of contracts for transportation, freight forwarding and other
services related to transport of goods.
5. Definition of methods and schemes for the transport & deliveries
optimization.
6. Organization of logistics document flow.
7. Standardization and optimization of business processes
8. Control of stocks book keeping
