Hello Lucia
Within 3 business days upon his arrival to Russia, you will have to notify the
FMS about arrival.
Registration can be obtained by your landlord in Migration Service or through a
Post office. Procedure requires to bring some documents (please, find below)
and to file an application form.
Post office process can be done it 1 day. It only requires staying in line
(usually not very long). Migration Service might be more of a hustle. It is a
government body and it is not always easy to deal with them.
The list of documents you will need to submit for this notification:
· The copy of passport
· The copy of visa
· The migration card
So if you are in good relations with your landlord you may ask her to do it for
you by some reasonable price instead of paying agnecy or hotel.
