Dear Anthony,

well, first of all, could you please describe a bit what kind of films you are
into... in general... then it will be much easier to respond to your question.

To my personal taste (and not-so-humble opinion:)
The Return by Zvyagincev is probably the best Russian movie in the last 20 or
so years...

speaking about earlie ages - i.e. Soviet/post-Soviet era - there are many great
films starting from Bronenosec Potemkin by S. Eisentshtein and ending with...
well, never ending... :)

Best,
Boris

This may set off a long debate.

Apologies if this has been asked before, but after many years studying and
occasionally living in Russia, I am still a novice when it comes to Russian
films. Which would you recommend as must-sees? I enjoy both soviet and
modern films. Can anyone recommend a good film site?

Regards,

Anthony
