Hi all! First of all I would like to thank everyone for their suggestions concerning where to spend my summer vacations. I can say that each advise had something additional and was of great help. I finally decided to go to Greece-the land of the Gods! As I said earlier my last year trip there was excellent! I would have gone to Mayorca for a change but the swine flu there is still hovering so i wont take the chances! One issue which i would like your comments are has anyone bought property in Greece? I see myself at 60 (still long way to go) and sitting on the verandah of a 1-2 storey individual house near the sea shore and sipping the local "raki" pondering happily over the life i'v lived.(he he he). Being an Indian national (love my country) with a permanent residence permit in Russia and a Russian wife Im sure it wont be easy! But then victory comes to those who dont leave the battlefield even after every hope has died (not my words but dazzling for sure especially in my mother tongue-Punjabi)! Gurminder

It is not expensive, it has great seafood, it is really interesting, with great beaches and nice hotels. And, the people speak English. We were there in early June and thoroughly enjoyed it. -------Original Message------- From: Lucy S. I was there a couple of months ago and although my trip was limited to Istanbul, it seems there is TONS to see and enjoy in Turkey overall: history, culture, beaches, food, etc. etc...it is an absolutely beautiful country, and the people are among the nicest I have ever met on my travels--I highly recommend it.
