By far the best organization in Moscow to volunteer for in Maria's
Children (www.mariaschildren.ru,

They work with kids from orphanages by providing a safe and happy
environment for these kids. Unlike many organizations, they work with
those who no one wants to work with (troubled teens, kids that are
pretty sick). They always need volunteers.
Also, Nastenka Fund (http://nastenka.ru/) helps kids with cancer. They
need help as well
In both cases you are welcome to tell them that Julia Zagachin suggested
that you contact them

Hello,
I am student studying Russian language until May 2010 at MSU, in Moscow.
I am looking for opportunities to volunteer (either with an established
organization or independently), especially with children. I was wondering
if
anyone had any suggestions?
Back in the USA, I worked with the Boy Scouts of America, and also several
other organizations that tutored students after class, so I have experience
working with children. I would like to give back to the community while I
am
here, and also think it would help with my russian studying.
I am open to any opportunities, and thanks for the help!
