Thanks to all for the Kindle feedback. I was particuarly cheered by reports that it's possible to download books via computer in Russia and then transfer to the Kindle. I don't know how the International version differs -- maybe it does just have some different software to allow downloading all over the world (well, in 100 countries). But then, as my previous questions have surely made clear, I'm kind of a techno-ninny. I think I'll try it. If I have trouble, I'll write you guys (or simply ask any passing 12-year-old). The idea of business trips without 6 paperbacks weighing me down really appeals. As does the idea of not paying overweight shipping fees for all the books I order. Will report back:) Mickey Berdy
