Extremely strange. As a U.S. citizen it was my initiative to be entered into the embassy's warden list. They know I'm here, what I'm doing, know how to contact me, and have all of my personal information...that is obviously kept confidential within the walls of the U.S. Embassy.
Beware Brits, this could be a scam for personal information to an outsider.
