Charles, arm yourself with a lot of patience and and a pack of wet wipes and go hunting at the Vernissage of Izmailovskij Park. In the section upstairs there are some sellers with vinyl records from Soviet times, including 78s. Usually somebody is also trying to sell a gramophone for a silly price - these guys only have 78s. Alternatively, you can try on Iz Ruk v Ruki (www.irr.ru) and Avito.ru, but that's not even half the fun... Happy digging! G.
