Hello!
Does anyone know if having a problem with OVIR can lead to problem getting new
visa?
I come to Moscow regularly on 1 year multiple entries visa.
In july I registered as usual with my cousin at the post office, but when I
left
3 weeks later he forgot to send the registration slip to OVIR. When I cam back
,
I went again to post office to register and all went well. But 2 weeks later
the
OVIR called and said I had do come by because they could not accept my
registration because my cousin did not send the slip of previous one back. Also
said I would have to pay between 2000 and 4000 rub fine.
I went but the person dealing with this was out and as I was leaving Russia
next
day, I did not go! But the man told me I should come during my next trip. I am
here now and so much time has gone, not sure I really need to go. I was for 2
weeks in Chelyabinsk earlier this month and the OVIR there registered me
without
problem.
Only I must renew my 1 year visa when I go home next week.
Any one knows if this could create a problem for this renewal?
thank you!
YS
