A friend of mine who's currently based in St. Petersburg was visiting me in Berlin and ordered a mid-to-high priced mobile phone off Amazon.de.
Unfortunately, the phone did not arrive before he had to return to Petersburg, so now I have to mail it to him. I'm currently looking at DHL, with a 66-euro fee for delivery within two days. I'm going to note "Gift - used mobile phone - value: $20" on the customs form. Do you have any experience mailing a mobile phone from the EU to Russia? How tricky is customs with stuff like this? Are there any other options I should consider?
