I normally ask a hotel to produce a voucher in the name of an expat who I
invite, which serves as invitation. Most normal hotels in Moscow provide the
service. Then my expats ask their home based agent to provide a visa support
basing on the voucher.

Quite simple and it works. Depending on type of visit, however.

Subject: Expat List What does one need for family to visit from abroad?

Hello there,
We're hoping to have family and friends visiting soon. They come from a
variety of places including the UK, Scandinavia etc. Could someone advise
what is required in terms of formal invites/ visas etc for such visitors?
Many thanks for any help!
Nevin
