Hi all,
We've decided to let our cleaner leave after over 5 years with us. Over time
she became unreliable, took advantage of us and always complained how many
other jobs she's been offered with more money. Considering we found her all the
jobs that she has and that I felt that we were paying her the going rate (or
above in some cases), it was getting a little annoying.
As a result, we're now looking for a new cleaner to come twice a week,
preferably Mondays & Thursdays or Tuesdays & Fridays.
We need the usual things - cleaning, washing and ironing clothes, etc. Our old
cleaner struggled with electrical appliances and the modern cleaning materials
so we would be really happy to find someone who's a little more up with
technology. I bought our old cleaner a super new steam iron thingy (there's
probably a special name for this type of iron) to make it easier for her to
iron, but she refused to use it, or even read the instructions.
There are two of us and our tiny little dog, so not much to take care of.
We have paid 2000 rubles per visit - our previous cleaner used to come at
around 10.30am and leave at about 5pm or 6pm. She was VERY slow but we didn't
mind, as long as she finished what needed to be done. If someone can do things
better in less time, that's more than fine with us.
We prefer someone from Russia or CIS. English speaking is NOT necessary.
What are essential are very good references as we can't afford to take risks
with people having keys and access to our belongings.
