Tom - Cream cheese is not a common or typical product in Russia. That said, plenty of sushi places here put cream cheese in their sushi so it does exist - or at least it existed before the embargo. It can be found and they do call it "philadelphia" all by itself sometimes....
If you want to know the* replacement* equivalent, there are plenty of soft cheese spreads that are a bit more like soft goat cheese - alouette cheese is a very fair replacement. Don't let anyone say tvorog is like cream cheese. That would be out of ignorance. best - Marco
