Prima di tuttu che versione e distribuzione hai di linux
Poi hai controllato con cat /proc/pci il chipset della scheda e in elenco.
Le distrubuzione con le correzioni sul ATA33-66-100 sono RH6.2 e 7 MD7.1 e
7.2 e Debian

Salve a tutti,
possiedo un HD IBM da 20.5G UDMA/66, AMD Athlon k7, scheda madre FIC,
controller IDE VIA.
Insoddisfatto del transfer rate di appena 3.8M/s, ottenuto con hdparm -t
/dev/hda,
ho provato in tutti i modi a smatterare i parametri di hdparm, tra cui
-X 68 -d 1 -a 32 -c 1
per udma 66, dma, ahead32, e 32-bit, ma non appena attivo il DMA,
ottengo un
output del genere:

hdparm e' avviornato all'ultima versione. Ho poi provato a patchare il
kernel con le
patch fornite dal sito www.linux-ide.org, ma nulla che abbia risolto il
problema!
C'e' un modo di risolvere la faccenda?
Sarebbe bello avere un transfer-rate da 20MB/s (dato ottenuto finche'
non si sono
verificati errori).
