This is a SCSI card ... when you say it can't talk to more than 1 GB, are
you meaning it can't see the rest of the drive, or you can't create a
partition greater than 1GB?
If the latter try creating another partition. If the former. I'm not sure.
I'd suggest using fips to try and see if partitions can be adjusted.

I don't know, is it German, but it seems it can't find your standard C
libraries. Find them within your system, and either set LIBDIR to the right
directory, or add a -L<path to libraries> to the makefile in the right area,
