Do you have any interesting messages on your virtual terminals (alt+f2 and
alt+f3)?

Something like "permission denied" ?

I had a similar problem installing RH6.0 (the installation froze at the
point you mention). This was because the executables on the cdrom did not
have execute permission set. I had to set execute permission for the files
in RedHat/instimage/usr/bin (and maybe some others too, probably safest to
chmod -R 777 <rh_dir>), and burn a fresh iso image ...
