As for me, it works just fine. No problem with it.

My own problem turned out to be a silly hardware failure: one of the
SIMM module was faulty and it escaped the bootup test because of a
stupid BIOS setting that has memory above 1 MB ignored when testing
(yes that motherboard is that old!)...
