Hi,
When I read /etc/inittab the I see that the call to update was disabled
since it is obsolated by kernel 2.2.9
however the buffers are never synced to disk unless I sync them
explicitly:
when I launch sync it lasts for 5 or ten seconds, depending on what I've
done before.
Since I've reenabled update in /etc/inittab it works fine, I mean buffers
are synced because when I launch sync manually it exits almost
immediately.
Could someone explain me what is wrong with my buffers which seems to stay
in memory without bdflush ?
thanks.
