:-P. Looks like as soon as I've one thing fixed, another one crops up. Having
commented the hdparm parameters, the freezes have vanished. On the same day, my
CPU cooler broke. Bought a new one, inserted it. Now the video card is sending
wild interrupts which cause the system to reboot every once in a while...
AAARGH! I will buy an iMac next time, I promise *grin*.

Looks like my wife's got managed to get used to it. It isn't easy being married
