This is getting weirder and weirder. I exchanged the power chord (hadn't
thought of that, thanks :)), now the machine spins on for three or four
seconds and than turns itself off again (or fails to remain voltage? Do I look
like an electrician?). Looks like there might be something like this involved
here. Will try some settings.
