Hi,

Does anyone have any spare clues?

KDE has an option to apply KDE-type fonts and colours to non-kde apps (for
example emacs), which can be turned off from the Configure>desktop applet.

Usually (that is, the RH/Mandrake 5.x distributions that I've used
previously), the defaults are then taken from my .Xdefaults file instead,
but that is not happening with Mandrake 6.0.

I've also put the line 'xrdb ~/.Xdefaults' in my .xinit file, but I still
don't get my favourite "DarkSlateGray" background for emacs.

Can anyone point me at some useful info? Even if it was just where the krdb
defaults are stored, so that I can change that?

Also, having set my 1000x800 desktop to use 100dpi fonts, I want to change
the default fonts for Netscape menus and such to make them smaller!. Anyone
have an example .Xdefaults to acheive this?

Cheers,
STeven
