Please help!!
I've been running Venus just fine..until this morning when I rebooted
the system. When it tries to load X (KDM), it doesn't - it flickers
between the SVGA server and the text indefinitely. ctrl-alt-del'ing
shows the error:
fontdir: .%1 not found (or something similar)
font 'fixed' not found (again, something similar)
Now...is there some way to boot into the system without defaulting to
runlevel 5, without modifying the initab(?) file? (the boot disk I made
during setup won't work!!!)
I'm assuming that once I do this, I should be able to modify the init
files for KDM..Or am I in a hopeless situation - my only option
reloading Linux once again.....arg..
I thought linux was supposed to be more stable than Windows!?!?!
