Yes.

I don't think so. The patches we're applying in the RPM are mostly
bugfixes and security fixes (the mkdir fix and such).
The only questionable patches in the M kernel (PC-Speaker support and
such) can be completely turned off by simply disabling the feature in the
kernel config, so there's no need to leave the patch out.

But in general the stock kernels will work well, yes.

Because it's an internal ML. If someone new has to be subscribed, it's
done manually.
