I was installing Mandrake on a new computer and noticed that ftp.tux.org
and other mirrors had the updated RPMs in the RPMS directory and some other
files in other directories were updated also. So I went ahead and did
a "get -C -R 6.0" under ncftp and it downloaded only the files that I did
not have. It downloaded files like 6.0/Mandrake/base/hdlist etc also. So
I was thinking that maybe, the installation would only install updated
packages. Much to my dismay, this was not the case. I had for example
deleted the older initscripts rpm from the *ftp server* I was installing
from and the installation process wanted it. I created a link to the new
one on the ftp server and the installation went on and installed all the
old
rpms.

Maybe the install process could be changed also to install the latest rpms
that are in that directory.
