Has anyone ever wondered why if you compile in specific ethernet support
you can't change the media type unless its a module or hacking the kernel
source??? I have run into this 1st hand today. We have an Apollo pro
switch and it has problems with auto sensing the media type. In BSDI its
simple to change the media type, but its a pain in the but in the linux
kernel. Does someone know something I dont?
