You should read the mail list archives we discussed laptops a while back. I
run mandrake on a laptop and everthing works perfectly. I use a quantex
1331. pll 266 Mhz , 80megs of ram, crystal sound card, 13.3 inch xga tft
screen, toshiba hd, floppy, and cd rom, lucent 56k pc card modem. The only
problem I had was getting my sound card to work. The 2.2.x kernel solved
that problem.
ps don't tell anybody but I still dual boot into win 98.
(Linux runs a million times better than win 98. I can't wait to format the
windows partition.)
