I did a complete fresh install of Mandrake linux 6.0 last night (previously
was using RedHat 6.0). My problem is metamail, which wasn't a problem with
RH6. Everytime metamail is run or called (ie. via lynx) it says "metamail:
Can't open temporary file!". I need to use lynx in order to update my
domain name via a web-based IP update, but lynx refuses to run (gives that
error). I can't find anything in the man pages about temporary files or
anything, and I've been fiddling with it all morning. Does anyone have any
ideas what the problem is and how I can correct it? Or how I can remove
the metamail call from lynx (without recompiling). I've thought of
removing metamail completely, but I don't want it to break anything either
(the only dependancy check I get is for emxh, which I don't use anyways,
but obviously lynx uses metamail to some degree as well although it doesn't
seem to be listed as a dependancy).
I would *really* appreciate some help on this one. Thanx!
