I did that. I did instead make the USB stuff as mod.. For some reason it 
had it as being compiled in the Kernel. Well the next one faild on some

jo.char file with the Same errors. So this time I decided to leave the 
Kernel alone (The Default Settings) and just changed some things I knew 
would work. Now It boots to the New Kernel, But the APM will not work for 
some reason.

There should be a better way of getting this to work.

 do a make menuconfig and be sure that you take all the usb stuff out.   I 
have
never had a succesfull compile with the usb stuff turned on. But it works 
great
with it turned off.
