You better leave one open for the X console, or you will not
be able to get back in (at least not easily if you can't
remember the strange keyboard shortcut).  I would stop
at the 11th VC, and leave the f12 key for the Xconsole.

A lot of people like to redirect the output of a program,
typically a log file etc. to one of the consoles, or to
a serial port for printing or logging.
