Compared to the 8139, the Tulip is more reliable. In fact, there has been cases
in Windows platforms whereby the Realtek 8xx9 series are known to corrupt
information. I have experienced it on my 8029.
I'm using 2 Tulip cards now and they have been fast and reliable.
