I've forwarded the problem to the linux-kernel mailing list; maybe someone
can reproduce it, and maybe someone can even come up with a fix.
In the mean time, you might want to check if your BIOS is broken - a
REALLY broken BIOS might not talk to drives that are set to Disabled/None
in the setup.
Also, if your BIOS supports it, make sure the IDE support is set to both
channels.
Make sure IRQ 15 isn't used for anything else.
