I wonder if there is any smart way of setting up ATAPI connected CD-Writer without recompiling kernel. Does anyone suceeded with some boot option or something? Just curious. ( I am using my cheap ATAPI CD-WRITER by recompiling Linux kernel. I just had to disable CONFIG_BLK_DEV_IDECD. Of course, IDE-SCSI and SCSI-generic needs to be turned on by kernel or insmod, and ln /dev/scd0 /dev/cdrom ) = http://home.pacbell.net/aoki/ = LM6.0 Toshiba portege 3300 install memo.
