The first user who logs in each session on Mandrake 6 machine appears to be becoming the owner (group is root) of /dev/mixer* and /dev/dsp* despite them being originally set with root as owner. As a result, subsequent users are blocked from access. How can an ordinary user become the owner of a root-owned device and what can I do to stop it? Simon
