One possibility: The kPPP that comes with M6.0 has a bug. If you user does NOT adjust their speed setting, it leaves a "blank" setting in the config file. This blank setting will keep pppd from connecting properly (ie, dial up works, login script works, but PPP doesn't come up). To fix: 1) Toggle the speed setting (ie, set to 9600 and save, then back to 115200 and save) 2) upgrade to later version.
