[expert] Unresolved symbols in 2.2.9-27mdk

I have problems compiling the 3dfx device Device3Dfx-2.2-3.src.rpm due
to unresolved symbols in netwave_cs.o. It was also present in the
previous kernel, 2.2.9-19mdk.

depmod -a gives:
/lib/modules/2.2.9-27mdk/pcmcia/netwave_cs.o unresolved symbol(s)

Is it possible to turn this warning off, for example in
/etc/conf.modules. I am not using pcmcia.
