Your tertiary port is correct at 01E8 to 01EF, IRQ 11 or 12. Is the
hardware jumpered identically? Since the kernel seems to be probing
ide2, perhaps there is no need for you to try and set it up.
If you have the kernel source installed there is lots of info at
/usr/src/linux/Documentation. The notes in the kernel configurator (make
xconfig) are also immensely helpful.
