Hi!
I am having some trouble running the softoss wave table engine with my
pci64 audio card. It is the one with the 1370 chip, and this one is
running without a glitch. However, a modprobe softoss2 loads the module,
and /dev/sndstat shows a sequencer device - but playmidi -g somefile.mid
just says
cannot get info on soundcard
/dev/sequencer: Das Ger�t oder die Ressource ist belegt (device or
resource occupied :-)
Can this be a problem with some program occupieing the /dev/dsp? And
where the Heck do I place the sound patches? May I use the ones provided
for timidity? Why isn`t there any documentation (4fronttech, deja.com,
kernel sources...)? If anybody can help, I would be happy,
